Hello everyone-
First, let me wish a big Happy Thanksgiving to all of my readers! Of course, we Americans know Thanksgiving to be a day of turkey and gravy, football and napping…but every one of us, regardless of our respective nationalities, can and should recognize the value of such an important day.
No, I’m not referencing the voyage of pilgrims to a New Land. Rather, I write about the principle of giving thanks. Even in difficult economic times, in the face of uncertainty in many different global arenas, it is so important for us to recognize how abundantly we have all been blessed.
I’ve mentioned my family’s tradition of going around the Thanksgiving table and saying what we’re all thankful for before, and today, though I’m not physically at the table but rather in a computer lab at my university in Paris, I want to stand up and be counted anyhow. I want to talk about what I’m thankful for.
So here we go.
I am thankful for my beautiful church family at Hillsong here in Paris, who have been such an instrumental part in my spiritual betterment and have simply brought so much joy to my life here in the French capital. Likewise, I’m so thankful for all of those at home who have played a similar role in my life and who still do to this day.
I am incredibly thankful for friends who take my calls from Paris, who spend hours chatting with me about everything and anything. I am so blessed to have people in my world who I know I can trust with absolutely anything, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for their love.
My family…Oh goodness, how thankful I am for my family. From my beautiful sisters to my not-so-little brother to my wonderful parents, I have been abuntanly blessed with a family who isn’t afraid to say, “I love you” every single day…who support me in so many ways, and who never forget to tell me how proud they are of what I’m doing and where I’m going in life. I am so thankful for this. Additionally, for all of my beautiful extended family members who fulfill such a wonderful role as well…their emails, their smiles, their cards with cash in Paris…just their love…is more than I could ever hope for.
I’m thankful for my health, for my tiny apartment, and for the incredible opportunity to spend every day in Paris, France. I have more material blessings than I truly wish to count, but for all of it, I’m thankful…and above all else, I’m thankful for the incredible future that lies ahead of me.
I am truly one blessed kid.
Have a beautiful and blessed Thanksgiving holiday, and of course, thanks for stopping by adaminparis.com. I hope that regardless of where you find yourself today, be it New York or Paris, Iowa or New Zealand…you too will take the time to be thankful for all of the things you’ve been given. Truly, what could be more important than that?

Adam, You will most certainly be seated at our table in spirit. I wish so desperately that you were here to celebrate with us…but I am even more thrilled that you are in Paris, pursuing your dreams and the plans for your life that were laid out long before you were born. We are all indeed so proud of you, and hope your Thanksgiving Day is filled with love from others, a small harvest on the love you have so abundantly sown to others each and every day of your life…and we will do turkey again at Christmas, just so you won’t feel left out!! Je t’aime, monsieur.
Listen…
You are amazing at putting you heart on a page! What a gift! You write like I desire to communicate with words.
I hope that you have blessed day, to add to your blessed life. You are an amazing young man! If the Bible didn’t tell me not to covet, well then I would.
You already know you have an amazing family, just know that those who know you, really know you, are blessed by your example!
Love you!
Coaches
Happy Thanksgiving from MN, Adam!!! Like Coach said above, you have an amazing ability with words, my friend, and you consistently use that gift to share positive messages with those who are lucky enough to play a role in your life. For getting to know you this year through this crazy internet, I am thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving. Isnt it weird how little traditions like your family eating dinner together today and saying what they are thankful for can be taken for granted until you are away from the table, in a tiny apartment like us wishing you were back around it. Even with my family, although holidays havent been the same since my grandparents arnt there anymore was still special…. I miss Thanksgiving get togethers and little activities at Wed. night service asking us what we are thankful for. Sometimes, no matter how good life is, no matter how wonderful your situation, there truly is no place like home.
Miss you and love you bunches
Jess
